Established as a family business in 1965 by Mr Tang, we evolved into Parami Green Mountain Co. Ltd. in 2013. Still a family business, the operations are under the leadership of our visionary CEO, Mr. Kyaw Htwe, the son of our original founder. Rooted in a tea heritage, Mr. Kyaw Htwe’s passion has driven us to empower local farmers, foster sustainable development, and expand our global market share.

With a highly experienced team and advanced factories, we ensure the provision of exceptional tea all year round. We work closely with more than 15,000 farmers, including young people and women, to uplift communities and create economic opportunities.

Since 2013, we have exported our organic teas to Canada, the USA, Germany, India, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and China, receiving USDA and EU organic certifications in 2015.

The name “Parami” holds great significance for us. Derived from the Pali Buddhist language, it represents perfection and acquired virtue. The “Green Mountain” in our company name reflects our commitment to working in pristine environments and minimising our ecological footprint. The term “Green” symbolises our dedication to environmental sustainability, and “Mountain” signifies that our factories are located in mountainous regions. Tea cultivated in high-elevation mountains tends to possess superior quality compared to tea grown at lower elevations.

Although we remain Myanmar’s number one tea exporter, during the COVID-19 period we changed our business model. We entered the retail market and created a sustainable supply chain to ensure stability and trust for both farmers and buyers. We continue to lead the way in Myanmar’s tea industry, contributing to the betterment of the whole tea community. And we continue to uphold the long history and tradition of tea cultivation and tea culture in Myanmar.
